Convertible Dress

Saw lots of email, comment and forum discussing on how to wear TDC convertible Dress. So here's my post on how to tie TDC Convertible Dress.

1st. stop telling yourselves that this is a very complex dress & you can't make it :)
cause it isn't that difficult actually. All you need it practice it :)
2nd.
Step into dress so the sashes are facing the front.ok here we go :p

The twisted straps, The Knotted Straps & The Basic

Keep it simple, do nothing the the shoulder area and it will become The Basic Dress :)
For the knotted strap dress
1. tie a single knot on each sash.
2. Take the knotted sashes over the shoulders.
3. The Bring the sashes down the back, wrap around waist and tie and/or tuck under.

For the basic Dress
1. Take the sashes over the shoulder
2.. The Bring the sashes down the back, wrap around waist and tie and/or tuck under.
The Bandage Tube

Instead of ending it with a ribbon behind, I tie it infront :)
Or even at the bottom side :)

The Front Twist Halter

Love this, Classic.

The Batwing Dress & Cross Front Dress

For Cross Front Dress, just start off by doing a cross infront and continue from the instruction in the video.

The Toga

The Capped Sleeve

Didn't have the chance to do this during the shoot :)

How does the back look like? How to do it?

Simple Basic Cross Back.
1. After you
Bring the sashes down the back
2. Cross over at the back
3.
wrap around waist and tie and/or tuck under.
Back- Braided
1. After you Bring the sashes down the back
2. Twist the sashes 7-10 times at the center of your back.
3. Then
wrap around waist and tie and/or tuck under.

There is more style that you can expected
All you have to do is try it, play with it.
hint: you can wear it as a skirt too.

Hope this post will help you girls solve your problem :p

The skirt you can pull it down abit if you afraid that it is too short. cause our tube has extend to 8.5 inch. However, if you afraid it is too short, then wait for closet collection 21 convertible dress :)

  7. Hi! Very happy to see that you have extended the length of the second batch of your convertible dress. In fact, I am thinking if you can do the same for your dresses in future? Many times, I like the design of your dresses. But if it reaches mid-thigh when Zoe wears it, wouldn't it be even shorter for us when we are taller and perhaps even rounder than Zoe?

Actually it depend on how u tie the dress. If it is too short for you, then u can pull it slightly down, cause our tube is 8.5inch.
but this current measurement shld be ok for tall girls too :)

  19. Hi! I was wondering whether the Convertible Dress II will be too long for someone around 150cm tall? My cousin really wants to get it but was afraid that it'll be too long.. The ideal length will be just above her knee :)

Will talk to my factory next week.
cause currently busy with test and project :( Still considering about the colour. Might made Black, White and Navy Blue. Maroon for maxi dress looks abit too formal right? More colour for convertible dress might be out too. Any suggestion from you girls. I need more suggestion on what your girls hope to see ;)

    ReplyDelete
  26. i would vote for black or maroon maxi dress! maroon won't be that formal if we play with other accessories.
thou im just 1.6m, i dont mind having a dress that covers the feet, prolly can be altered if too long :).
just got the short version not long ago. loving it! would die to get a maxi version too:)

  28. any idea how to tie the knotted tube?

  29. Hi Babe,

For the twist Knot style, You start off with a twist infront(slightly to the left), then go round ur body then back to the front. Now go higher and do a twist at the right. go round ur body and do a ribbon behind or infront. after u do these step, then u alight the twist knot to the position u want :)
